This attractive Louisiana bog iris produces large ruby red flowers accented with mauve standards. 'Red Velvet Elvis' Louisiana Iris is a hummingbird favorite. As with all Louisiana iris, they can be grown in slightly moist soil or in shallow standing water in water gardens or in any full sun to part shade area. They like slightly acidic to neutral soil.
